Gas prices continue to creep down as the summer driving season continues.
Triple A reports that the national average is $3.90 a gallon this morning, seven cent cheaper than last week and 59 cents lower than last month. Pennsylvania’s average has not gone below the four-dollar mark yet, but it is getting closer to that with the average at $4.03 this morning. Last week, it was $4.12 and last month, it was $4.59.
Indiana’s average is $4.24 this morning. Compared to surrounding counties, Cambria is $4.14 a gallon, Clearfield is $4.19, Jefferson is at $4.21. Westmoreland County is $4.26 and Armstrong County is the highest in the region at $4.49.
The highest average is Beaver County at $4.59. Montour is the lowest at $3.61
Gas prices in Indiana are hovering at $4.33, according to GasBuddy.com. In Clymer, gas prices range from $4.24 at Sheetz to $4.19 at Kwik Fill and $3.99 at the One-Stop gas station. Sheetz is also the highest on the Route 119 corridor at $4.29 a gallon, while Kwik Fill and Accent Fuels are at $3.89 a gallon this morning. In Blairsville, the newly-opened in-town Sheetz and VP Racing Fuels on Route 22 are at $4.25, while the Sheetz on 22 is at $4.29.
