A plan to install electric vehicle charging stations in Westmoreland County parks appears to be dead.
No progress was ever made on a contract signed with a Rostraver startup in 2022 and now it seems the company is out of business. Commissioners agreed to have Kilocharge LLC install the chargers at four parks in the county and share revenue generated by them.
County leaders are expected to officially rescind the contract this week.
