Beverly Kay Bazala, 80 of Indiana, died Monday, June 22, 2026,at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. Born in Indiana, January 14, 1946, she was a daughter of the late, Richard Jennings and Frances Stewart Jennings and was the widow of Edward Bazala who died December 8, 1993.
She was a graduate of the former Laura Lamar High School in Homer City. Over the years Beverly worked at various jobs in the area, most notably the Indiana Hospital Gift Shop and Pantry. She was also a private caregiver, homemaker and a mother of three.
She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting casinos, playing card games with her friends, crocheting and cooking for her family. Beverly was a devout Christian who read her bible daily and loved listening to gospel music. One of her greatest joys was being with her family.
Beverly is survived by her children: Stephanie K. Hopkins, Indiana; Edward Bazala (Cindy), Mechanicsville, VA; and Jason Bazala (Cassey), Creekside. Her grandchildren are Mason Bazala (Taylor); Marcus Bazala (Rachael); Jacob Bazala; Hayley Barncord (Trevor); Joseph Steffish (Alexandra); Madison Bazala and Evan Bazala. Her great grandchildren areJoseph Steffish, III; Bristol Grace Bazala and Mallory Lynn Bazala.
Her siblings are: Leslie Jennings (Ann), Brush Valley; Dennis Jennings, Iselin, PA; Doris Weaver (Perry), Home, PA and Ricky Jennings, Ford City. She is also remembered by her very special nieces and nephews, along with her sister-in-law, Karen Jennings of Coral.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by infant twin siblings, Richard and Judy Jennings, brother, James Jennings, son-in-law, Bill Hopkins and great granddaughter, Olivia Dawn Steffish.
Special thank you goes out to the staff at Beacon Ridge and at 365 Hospice. Beverly’s family is grateful for the comfort and exemplary care that their mother received. They also wish to thank homecare workers: Rebecca, Jackie and Elyse as well as their dear friend, Jim Farrell for his ongoing care and support.
Visitation is Saturday, June 27th from noon until 2 PM, the time of her funeral service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, Indiana. Pastor John Sykes will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
