A 47-year-old Vandergrift man is facing child endangerment, DUI and related charges after Pennsylvania State Police said he was stopped April 4 in Clover Township for erratic driving along Route 28.
Police allege Herbert Norse Covey IV showed signs of impairment, admitted to using marijuana before driving, and later tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine and cannabis metabolites. A juvenile was reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
Covey is being held at a Somerset correctional facility, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 20.
