Indiana University of Pennsylvania has signed four new clinical training agreements for its future College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The agreements were finalized Monday and Tuesday with Croyle-Nielsen Therapeutic Associates, Alternative Community Resource Program, Small Town Hope, and Dr. Matthew Dvorchak’s family medicine practice in Hastings. The Dvorchak agreement marks IUP’s first partnership with a rural private family medicine practice.
University officials say the partnerships will provide hands-on training opportunities in mental and behavioral health and help address healthcare workforce shortages in rural communities. The agreements also align with IUP’s mission of preparing physicians to serve underserved areas and tackle the rural healthcare crisis.
The College of Osteopathic Medicine recently received pre-accreditation status and expects to welcome its first class of 60 students in fall 2027.
