Dennis J. Richards, Sr., age 72, of Grant Township, Marion Center, PA, passed away on June 15, 2026, at Clymer Park.
Born on November 24, 1953, in Spangler, Cambria County, he was the son of Virgil H. and Frances I. (Presto) Richards of Spangler.
Dennis was a dedicated worker who spent his career in the waste management industry, serving his community through his work with the local garbage company. He was the owner of Richards Sanitation. Dennis then drove school bus for different schools over the years.
A devoted family man, Dennis shared 54 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cathy I. (Boyer) Richards. Together, they built a life rooted in love and commitment at their home in Deckers Point.
Dennis was a racing enthusiast. He raced his own car at the Marion Center Speedway for many years; winning trophies and ribbons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy, son, Dennis J Richards, Jr ( Susan) daughter, Laura R. Bistok (Jason) son Stephen D. Richards, a son now deceased, Michael P. Richards (Tanya) also, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, also, a community of family and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael P. Richards.
Friends will be received on Friday, June,19, 2026 from 12pm-5:30pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer, his funeral services will follow at 5:30 pm with Pastors Scot & Tammy Pifer, officiating. Following will be a dinner at 7pm at the Rayne Drop Inn, in Marion Center Pa.
