The Indiana County Commissioners are planning to launch an online portal to give feedback on the Homer City Generating project and A.I. data centers.
This is in response to requests for a public hearing on the projects in Center Township from Concerned Residents of Western PA, or CROW. The announcement was made on Indiana in the Morning on WCCS this morning. Commissioners Chairman Mike Keith said he appreciated the residents coming forward with their concerns and will use that and the info submitted in the online portal for a public hearing in the future.
Commissioner Sherene Hess said that they and other county officials are working hard to stay ahead of everything.
Commissioner Bonni Dunlap says she understands frustration about citizens speaking out on the topic during public comment at the twice-monthly commissioners’ meetings and not getting a reply.
The portal will go live on Friday and can be accessed on the county’s website and the site for the office of Planning and Development.
