Emma G. (Niehenke) Sesock, 87, passed away on Thursday June 11, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Village.
Born in Harrison, PA, Somerset Co. on August 05, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Ethel L. (Hoshard) Niehenke.
Emma was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Indiana. Although she was a homemaker all of her life, she worked many years for Woolworth’s, Aims, Hills Department Store, and the Indiana Roller Rink.
She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and many friends. Emma touched many lives with her positive attitude, beautiful smile and her love for life. During her lifetime she enjoyed roller skating, blue grass music, going to concerts and attending church activities. What she treasured most was time spent with her family. Her family meant the world to her as she also meant to world to them.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Lou Ann and John Coleman of Lucernemines, Sandi and Tracy Blose of Homer City, Brenda Burkley of Shelocta and Patty and Tim Sharbaugh of Indiana; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Mike Sesock; four siblings, Kennard Niehenke, Russel Niehenke, Ethel Black, and Paul Niehenke.
Family and friends will be received on Monday June 15, 2026 from 10AM until the time of the service at 12:00PM at the Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th St., Indiana, officiated by Pastor Eyrn Stewart and Gordon Wells. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at St. Andew’s Village as Emma cherished the many friendships made during her time there, especially her friend Mary Ann.
