Wayne Howard Himes, III, 47, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.), passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Born August 4, 1978, in Spangler, PA, he was the son of Wayne H. Himes, Jr. and Mary E. Davis.
Wayne was a former volunteer firefighter with the Cherry Tree, Hope and Commodore Volunteer Fire Departments, where he gave his time in service to others.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard in Johnstown and was employed as a carpenter, a trade in which he took pride.
Surviving are his loving parents, Wayne H. Himes, Jr. (Cathy) of Northern Cambria and Mary Davis (Rich Way) of Blairsville; two children, Patience Quigel (Brandon) of Ft. Meade, MD, and Wayne H. Himes, IV of Colver; four grandchildren, Jackson, Dexter, Daniel and Elizabeth; siblings, David Himes (Cassie) of Arcadia, Anthony Depto of Northern Cambria, Synannda Michny (Paul) of Starford, A.J. Boring (Amy) of Northern Cambria, Josh Davis (Brandi Jones) of Hastings, and William Rounsley (Mallory) of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Robert Himes and Daniel Boring.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 2:30 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Pastor John Buchmann officiating.
Blairsville Military Honor Guard will accord military honors.
