Monday night, the Indiana School Board approved four resignations that are taking early retirement incentives.
The four employees qualified for the early retirement benefits under Act 93. Business Manager Jared Cronauer talked about the benefits.
The four who took the Act 93 early retirement incentives included Senior High Principal Wade McElheny, Eisenhower elementary principal Erin Eisenman, technology coordinator Randy O’Neal and Transportation and Safety Coordinator Mike Travis. The board immediately posted for the Senior High Principal position and will do the same for the Eisenhower principal post. The jobs of O’Neal and Travis will be delegated to other district employees.
In other business, the board rejected motions to stop all or part of the district’s Driver’s Ed program. It will be offered once again this year at the district as usual. The projected cost savings for eliminating the program was $40,000 and $25,000 for eliminating only the behind-the-wheel portion.
