The first miner who was rescued from a flooded mine in Somerset County more than two decades ago has died.
Randall Fogle passed away last week at the age of 68. Fogle was one of nine miners to be rescued from the Quecreek Mine in 2002 after the mine shaft flooded and trapped them inside.
The miners spent four days inside the mine shaft before they were freed, with millions around the world following the 77-hour rescue effort.
