Altoona built a five-run against New Hampshire Saturday, but ended up losing, 9-8 in extra innings. The Fisher Cats scored four runs in the sixth, then tied the game with a single run in the eighth before Eddie Micheletti Jr. knocked in the game-winning run with a walk-off single in the eleventh inning.
The Curve scored six runs in the fourth to take a 7-3 lead, on RBI hits by Matt King, Keiner Delgado, and Omar Alfonzo. Lonnie White Jr.’s run-scoring single in the sixth made it 8-3.
Delgado, King, and White each had two hits for the Curve, with Delgado banging out a double and driving in two runs.
The Curve will wrap up the series in Manchester, New Hampshire today with left-hander Connor Wietgrefe getting the start. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05.
