The Pittsburgh Pirates “other” Jared Jones had a big Saturday night. Jones, the Bucs’ 2025 ninth round draft choice, went 4-for-5 and slugged two home runs, his ninth and tenth of the season, playing for Greensboro in High-A. He raised his batting average to .328.
Greensboro won the game, 15-4 over Asheville.
Jared Roger Jones is known by his nickname, “Bear.” He’s 6-feet-5 inches tall and weights 246 pounds.
Jared Keith Jones is the Pirates pitcher who just returned from elbow surgery last May and won his first Major League game since 2024 last Thursday in Houston.
