Severe weather yesterday caused some problems for Indiana County firefighters, particularly for the Cherry Tree fire company. They were summoned four times , roughly within an hour. Three of the calls were for utility lines down in Montgomery Township, along Pioneer Lake Road, Arcadia Road, and Moyer Road. The other dispatch was for a transformer fire along Stifflertown Road in Clearfield County.
Other fire calls on Saturday included a summons for Plumville firefighters for traffic control on Route 85 in South Mahoning Township, and for Indiana firefighters just before midnight for an accident on Water Street.
