One of the Penguins farm teams are still in the playoffs, but Wilkes-Barre Scranton is now facing elimination as they lost to the Toronto Marlies 5-1 in game five of their best-of-seven series. Forward Mikhail Ilyin scored Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s only goal. Toronto leads the series 3-2 and game six will be held Sunday evening in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Meanwhile, the Stanley Cup playoffs continues tonight as Vegas hosts the Carolina Hurricanes. The series is tied at 1-1 with the Hurricanes winning 4-3 in overtime on Thursday.
