Leaders with Derry Area School District are looking into changes that could close the township’s only public library.
The district’s high school is home to Caldwell Memorial Library. The township school board is considering renovations that would result in closing Caldwell and having students instead use the library at the district’s middle school.
Adams Memorial Library in Latrobe, which helps to operate Caldwell, would be the nearest library open to the public if the closure is approved.
