Janet Marie (Hutchinson) Taylor, 78, of Blairsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Janet was the daughter of the late Clair Thomas Hutchinson and Ann (Golinsky) Hutchinson and was born on May 5, 1948, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She spent many years working in Human Resources for several banks in Virginia before retiring.
Janet was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She was an avid hockey and football fan, and enjoyed visiting Atlantic City casinos. She especially loved cheering on her nieces and nephew, Joanna, Jillian and Jamey in their sporting events. Janet treasured time spent with her family and friends and will be remembered for her caring nature, and strong devotion to family.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Hutchinson Jenkins of Blairsville; her brother, Thomas Hutchinson and his wife Kathy of DeBary, Florida; her Goddaughter, Janis Howard and husband James of Coral; her nephew, Stephen Hutchinson of Florida; her niece, Karren Sisko of Indiana; and her beloved dog, Lucy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nieces, Marianne, Jennifer and Ann.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
