The former Clymer Borough police chief will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco today in connection with a case of assault that happened last year.
Court documents show that 46-year-old Charles Waller Jr. is charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment for the incident that happened on June 18th, 2025. On that day, troopers were sent to a home in the 200 block of Second Avenue in Heilwood after Indiana County 911 had a hangup call. The victim, identified as an adult woman, claimed that she and Waller were involved in an argument when he shoved her to the ground and strangled her with his hands. Waller was arrested on-scene and without any incident.
Waller is currently free after posting $2,500 bond.
