Two school boards are set to meet tonight, and both have preliminary budgets up for approval.
The River Valley School District preliminary budget has expenditures at $37,003,475, with estimated revenue coming in at $38,132,475. The board will also look to conditionally approve the 2026-27 ICTC budget. Approval is pending the results of legal matters concerning the district trying to separate from the ICTC consortium. Under the proposed budget, River Valley’s share would come to $593,094. The River Valley meeting will begin at 7:00 tonight at the River Valley STEAM Academy LGI room in Saltsburg.
Similar items are on the agenda for the Homer-Center School Board tonight. The proposed Homer-Center budget for next year tops out at $21,707,546, with a 1.75% tax increase. The ICTC budget is also on the agenda for tonight. Homer-Center’s share would come to $684,882. The Homer-Center meeting will start at 7:30 tonight at the district board room.
