Tristan Broz, Ville Koivunen, and Rafael Harvey-Picard all scored two goals to lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to an 8-1 road win over Springfield, clinching the five-game series 3-2.
Harrison Brunicke and Atley Calvert also scored for WBS, which ended up with fifteen players scoring a point in the game, led by Broz’s two goals and two assists.
Goaltender Sergei Murashov stopped 26 of 27 shots for the win.
The Penguins advance to the Eastern Conference finals, where they will play either Cleveland or Toronto, who will play their fifth game today. In the Western Conference, Colorado and Chicago will open their seven game final this coming Thursday.
