Drivers in Pennsylvania are seeing a little relief at the pumps as Memorial Day weekend approaches.
The statewide average cost of gas according to AAA this morning is $4.63, a drop of three cents from the week before. That’s still higher than the average last year at this time, which was $3.29. The national average did go up slightly over the week to $4.53.
Indiana County’s average this morning is $4.77, tying it with Westmoreland County for second-highest average in the six-county region. Jefferson’s average is the lowest at $4.60, Clearfield is $4.63 and Cambria’s is $4.65. The highest average is Armstrong County at $4.89. In fact, Armstrong County’s average is the highest in the state. Franklin is the lowest in the state at $4.32.
Prices in Indiana County are hovering around $4.79 this morning according to GasBuddy.com. In the Homer City Area, Sheetz and Kwik Fill is at $4.78 while Accent Fuels is at $4.65.
