The Pirates yesterday traded shortstop Alika Williams to the A’s in exchange for pitching prospect Kyle Robinson. Williams was a former number one draft choice of the Tampa Bay Rays, who was acquired in 2023 for pitcher Robert Stephenson. In 83 games in Pittsburgh, he batted .202. He was hitting .317 for Indianapolis this season.
Robinson, a right-hander, was an 11th -round A’s draft pick in 2024. He was was 1-1 with a 3.62 ERA this season with High-A Lansing this season.
