A Philadelphia man connected with a drug ring in Western PA was sentenced Tuesday on racketeering charges.
U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti announced that 48-year-old Mikal Davis was ordered to serve two years in prison and three years of probation for this current case. In July of 2025, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison and five years of probation for his part in the distribution of crack, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl in the Western PA region. Davis would obtain the drugs and then transport them to various stash houses.
The racketeering charges came from when he was serving time in Cambria County Prison between July and December of 2023. He bribed corrections officers and medical staff to smuggle suboxone into the prison which was then sold to other inmates. Davis was the first to be sentenced in this ring. Ten defendants have been charged in this case, with four of them pleading guilty.
