Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano is being tapped by President Trump to serve as ambassador to the Slovak Republic.
His nomination was announced yesterday. Mastriano has represented Franklin and Adams counties in the state Senate since 2019, losing the Pennsylvania governor’s race to Josh Shapiro in 2022.
Mastriano’s nomination to the ambassador position still needs to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
