The Steelers wrapped up their scheduled three-day rookie minicamp early, dismissing their young players on Saturday instead of Sunday so they could make it home for Mother’s Day.
There have been no new signings reported. Over the weekend, the team signed six of their ten drafts picks. Those still not signed include the top draft choice, offensive tackle Max Iheanachor, along with the second rounder, wide receiver Germie Bernard, quarterback Drew Allar, who was drafted in the third round, and wide receiver Eli Heidenreich, who was chosen in the seventh round.
Also not signed is quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was reportedly in Pittsburgh but had not met with the team as of Saturday.
Players continue voluntary workouts at the Rooney Sports Complex this week. The first Steelers’ OTA is scheduled next Monday. They’ll do six sessions through May 29th, have mandatory minicamp June 2nd through the 4th, then four more OTAs June 8th through the 12th.
