The Steelers yesterday waived cornerback Daequan Hardy with an injury designation. They did not say what the injury is. Hardy signed with the practice squad in November and then signed a reserve/futures contract in the offseason. He’s a Penn Hills High School alumnus who played his college football at Penn State.

ESPN reports the NFL and the NFL Referees Association are scheduled to vote on a new collective bargaining agreement tomorrow. The sides have been negotiating for the last two years, and without a deal in place, the league plans to use replacement refs. The current CBA expires at the end of this month.
