Jurors have begun hearing testimony in the trial of a Delmont woman charged in the death of her adoptive son.
Prosecutors say Lauren Maloberti tortured her five-year-old son who died in February of 2023.
Maloberti’s sister-in-law took the stand yesterday — testifying that the defendant provided her with multiple explanations about injuries suffered by the boy in the months before his death.
