A man in Punxsutawney is facing misdemeanor charges after police said he repeatedly called 911 for non-emergency reasons, including complaints about unwanted text messages and requests for updates on police activity.
ExploreJeffersonPa.Com is reporting the 53-year-old was agitated during an April 28 encounter and allegedly made threats toward a woman he claimed was contacting him. Authorities say the calls were intended to cause public inconvenience, leading to charges of improper 911 communications and disorderly conduct.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 4.
