While the “Chalk The Walk” competition at IUP will go on today as scheduled, there will be some changes to the event due to the inclement weather expected today.
Some of the events surrounding the competition, like food trucks, bounce house, kids activities and the IUP 150 Cupcake distribution, will not be able to be offered today. One part will continue as planned, and that is the time capsule messages. Students and employees will be able to write notes to future students that will be placed in a time capsule that will be opened in 50 years.
Visitors are welcome to observe the artists in action as they use chalk to create images and messages on a wide variety of topics. Judging will take place this afternoon.
