After a house fire was reported in the morning on Friday, Indiana County First Responders had a relatively quiet day with only three calls for service.
The house fire was reported at 6:11 AM at a home on Brady Road in East Mahoning Township. Marion Center fire officials said that the fire was at an Amish home that was to be torn down, but as there were no proper permits to burn it, fire crews were summoned to put it out. Clymer, Plumville and Commodore firefighters joined Marion Center on the scene along with the RIT Team and Citizen’s Ambulance.
A vehicle fire was reported at 1:06 PM on Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township with Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments sent to the scene. Indiana Fire Association was called out at 6:16 PM for an automatic fire alarm activation on South 7th Street in Indiana Borough. There was also a landing zone set up by Blairsville, Black Lick and Aultman fire departments along Yankee Hill Road in Black Lick Township at 8:12 PM.
