IRMC HEADS OUTSIDE TO HELP THOSE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED

Indiana Regional Medical Center is celebrating Public Health Awareness Month by holding an event today to help those uninsured or underinsured.

The center’s Mountains Mobile Care unit parked outside the future Primary Care Services facility at Regency Mall to help anyone who needs assistance with insurance to come over and discuss options when it comes to healthcare at the hospital.  The outpatient social services department will help participants explore Medicaid, health insurance coverage, financial assistance, medication programs and other areas.

IRMC Marketing and Community Relations Director Annie Rizzo said that it’s a problem that more common than most people realize.

The event runs until 6:00 PM tonight.
