Tourism leaders are encouraging local residents to come to Downtown Pittsburgh to enjoy the NFL Draft.
VisitPittsburgh CEO Jerad Bachar says there has been some confusion around the estimated attendance numbers for the event later this week, with some thinking over half-a-million visitors will be flooding the city at the same time. That is not the case, as around 200 to 250-thousand people are expected to attend on each day of the three-day draft festival, according to Bachar.
That is similar to the crowd drawn by Pittsburgh’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
