Indiana County’s 27th brush fire of 2026 was reported last night in West Wheatfield Township.
Indiana County 911 said that the fire was called in at 7:49 PM on Shady Grove Road between Clyde and Josephine. Clyde Fire Department was dispatched at the time. Details on how the fire started and how much property was damaged have not been released.
Aside from that, there were only four other calls for service, including traffic control detail on South Main Street in Homer City at 1:40 PM yesterday and a pumping detail for East 11th Street in Center Township. Homer City fire department were sent out both times.
Cherryhill Township, Citizens Ambulance and State Police were sent out for what was called a “utility lines down” call along Spaulding Road in Cherryhill Township at 5:16 PM.
And Indiana Fire Association was sent out for an automatic fire alarm activation at 11:41 PM at a location on South 10th Street.
