Dorothy B. Duke, 82, of Indiana, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2026. A Registered Nurse for over 45 years, Dorothy devoted her life to serving her community at Indiana Hospital, Torrance State Hospital, Cove PREP, The Moorehead House and several local care facilities before retiring well into her 70’s.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Irvin and the wife of the late Charles “Jim” Duke. She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School and Sewickley Valley School of Nursing. She will be remembered for her love of family, reading, and her love of travel.
She will be truly missed by her daughter Erin Morrison and husband Bill; grandchildren Ashley Theiss (Fred) and Tanner Morrison (Casidhe); great-grandson Freddy Theiss; and daughter-in-law Rachel Antico. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Eric Duke.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, 965 Philadelphia St., Indiana, where her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Rearick officiating. A private interment will follow at Ruffner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
