Two people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court.
One of the hearings was for 37-year-old Stephon Thomas Kinchen of Wilkes-Barre, who was charged with simple assault in connection with a case from December 25th of last year. Other charges of attempted aggravated assault and harassment were not prosecuted. President Judge Thomas Bianco ordered him to serve three months to a day less than two years in county jail but he was paroled immediately.
The other hearing was for 33-year-old Michelle Barkley of Derry, who was ordered to pay court costs and a fine for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
