R. Marie Sell, 77, of Northern Cambria, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at her home.
A daughter of the late William and Ruth Kathryn Pardee Rodkey, she was born May 17, 1940, in Cherryhill Township.
Mrs. Sell was a housewife. She enjoyed taking care of her family, being outdoors with nature and the simple things in life.
She is survived by three children: Robert E. Sell, Jr. and significant other, Phyllis, of Alexandria, VA; Randy W. Sell and wife Michelle, of Indiana; and Kathleen Hughes and husband Joseph, of Altoona; four brothers: Ronald Rodkey, of Armagh; Kenneth Rodkey, of Penn Run; Gary Rodkey, of Strongstown; Barry Rodkey, of Armagh; three sisters: Lorraine Yeckley, of Bakerton; Mona Blackwell, of Saltsburg; and Deborah Furr, of Lilly; seven grandchildren: Tonya Sell, Jennifer R. Boyer, Megan Detwiler, Zack, Greg and Josh Hughes, and Luke W. Sell; seven great grandchildren: Kyle and Kayden Detwiler, Karter Sell, Michael and Makenzie Boyer, John Wayne Detwiler, Jr., and Jase Robert Detwiler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Sell, Sr.; a son, William E. Sell; and two brothers and nine sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Walt Misner officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
