A downtown Homer City business has announced its closure due to the uncertainty of the traffic increase in the area due to the Homer City Redevelopment project.
The owner of Wave Ryder Sweet Shoppe have announced that while they have tried to come up with a solution to help with the predicted increase in vehicular traffic while still having the ability for their customers to park close to their store, they have not yet received an approved solution. Without a firm plan in place, he feels they would not be able to sell enough to keep the business going, so they have announced their last day is at the latest April 24th.
The business opened in late October of 2022.
