Pennsylvania now has its first underground state park.
Laurel Caverns on Fayette County is a 435-acre park that reportedly surrounds the largest and deepest limestone cave in the Commonwealth. The caverns include four miles of cave passages that go as deep as 476 feet.
Governor Shapiro announced its designation as a state park yesterday.
