Gas prices remain above $4 a gallon this week after a significant jump was recorded last week.
The national average cost is $4.14 this morning according to AAA, a jump of 13 cents over the last week. Pennsylvania’s jump in price was steeper, going from $3.97 last week to $4.18 this week, a 21-cent increase. Indiana County’s average is $4.14 this morning, tied with Jefferson County for the lowest in the region. Clearfield County has the highest in the region at $4.19.
In Indiana and Blairsville, prices range from $4.17 to $4.19. The Route 119 corridor near Homer City is still seeing some price competition at the pumps. Sheetz in Homer City is $4.19, while Kwik-Fill is $4.09 and Accent fuels is at $4.05. Gasbuddy.com is also reporting a $3.99 per gallon rate in Clymer at the One-Stop, while Sheetz down the road is offering a price of $4.19.
