The Harrisburg Senators stole one from the Altoona Curve 6-5 in 10 innings.
Harrisburg took a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a sac fly from Cortland Lawson and a run scored on a balk. Altoona scored in the 5th on a soft grounder to first by Mitch Jebb that brought Will Taylor home. It was tied in the 8th as Duce Gourson scored on a wild pitch.
In the top of the 10th, the Senators’ Cayden Wallace had an RBI single and Branden Boissiere put two across on his single to left field, then as Sam Petersen was called out on strikes, Cayden Wallace scored. In the bottom half of the inning, Altoona rallied for three runs off an RBI Triple from Mitch Jebb, an RBI groundout from Titus Dumitru and a line drive single from Derek Berg before Harrisburg turned a double play to end the game.
Connor Wietgrefe threw four and two-thirds innings in his season debut, striking out three walking three on 76 pitches.
The two teams wrap up their three-game series today with Po-Yu Chen starting for Altoona.
