The criminal case against a Mount Pleasant Township couple accused in the death of their 15-month-old son is moving forward.
Michael Blasser and Ashley Makarsky made their first court appearance yesterday, waiving their right to a preliminary hearing. The two face counts including involuntary manslaughter and third-degree murder in connection with the boy’s overdose death back in February.
The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office says the baby likely died from ingesting breast milk that contained methamphetamine.
