A Punxsutawney man accused of passing a $2,138.45 bad check for metal delivered to a fire station in late 2025 has waived multiple felony charges to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.
GantNews.Com is reporting, 33 year-old, Derek Scott Brothers, faces one count of theft by deception and one count of receiving stolen property, both third-degree felonies, and a first-degree misdemeanor count of issuing a bad check.
Brothers is in the Jefferson County Jail after failing to post $40,000 bail, and the case was transferred to the Court of Common Pleas on March 27.
