Bribery charges filed against former Ligonier Valley police Chief John Berger are moving forward.
Berger is accused of allowing a drug dealer to operate in the borough in exchange for pills, a plaque and a cash prize award from the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. The alleged drug dealer — a former VFW post commander — is also facing charges and testified against Berger in a preliminary hearing on Friday.
Charges against Berger are being held for trial.
