Officials in Pennsylvania and New Jersey have launched a coordinated aggressive driving enforcement campaign running through April 26, targeting speeding, distracted driving and other dangerous behaviors.
The initiative, led by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania State Police along with New Jersey partners, will include a one-day multi-state enforcement effort on April 14.
Officials cited a rise in aggressive driving fatalities despite an overall decline in traffic deaths, saying the campaign aims to reduce crashes and improve roadway safety through increased patrols and enforcement.
