Motions hearings are scheduled today for Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas. Among them is a hearing for a man charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI.
Court documents show a motion for leave to employ a specialist will be discussed today for the case of Logan Paul Penrose of Robinson. He is charged in connection with the crash that killed Allen Fisher, Jr. on June 27th of last year. The crash between a pickup and an SUV was reported in the area of Forsythe Road and Route 259, with troopers saying Penrose’s truck crashed into the SUV. Several beer cans were found in the truck, and Penrose’s blood alcohol level was reportedly above the legal limit.
Also due for a motions hearing today is Patricia Ann Hullenbaugh. The 23-year-old from Indiana is charged with criminal homicide, child endangerment and other crimes for the death of her child in 2024. Police in Indiana Borough said she called 911 and reported her child was suffocating with his face stuck in a mattress while his body hung outside a crib. She later told police she made the story up and had smothered the child with a pillow. The motion is for a request for a bill of particulars.
Three others are due in court in connection with the kidnapping and killing of Hayden Gareffa. Summer Settlemeyer, Issac Buchkowski and Thomas Rivera, all of Johnstown are three of eight people that reportedly kidnapped Gareffa in October of 2022, killed him and dumped him in a field of high grass in Brush Valley Township.
