John J. “Junior” Dudek, 70, of Arcadia, PA died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana, PA.
The son of the late John Henry and Maria “Marie” Sabina (Szczurowska) Dudek, he was born on September 18, 1947 in Neu-Ulm, Germany.
Junior was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, where he attended at the Glen Campbell site.
He was a Purchase Line High School graduate.
For many years, Junior was employed at Greensteel in Dixonville, PA prior to his retirement in 2002.
One of his favorite pastimes was socializing and talking to friends on the phone. Junior was an avid bingo player. He also enjoyed reading.
He is survived by his aunt and caregiver for many years, Ann Dudek of Brookville, PA; his three uncles: Henry Dudek of Blawnox, PA; Joe Dudek and wife, Sandy of Arcadia, PA and Alex “Spook” Dudek and wife, Ginny of Arcadia, PA and a number of cousins.
Junior was preceded in death by his father in 1992; his mother in 2000; his uncle and former caregiver, Stanley Dudek in 2012 and his uncle George Dudek.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where a 1:00 p.m. funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Glen Campbell, PA.
