The Indiana Area Collaborative Team held its “all stakeholders” meeting this afternoon to discuss preparations for the upcoming IUPatty’s weekend.
Law enforcement officials, elected leaders, and various community groups were in attendance to discuss their role in keeping everyone safe during this unsanctioned celebration. IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll says that the goal is always to make sure that everyone is having fun in a safe and responsible manner.
Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl highlighted the importance of I-ACT, saying that we are always safer when we work together.
Officials also stressed that if anyone sees anything that is unsafe, they are urged to contact 911.
IUPatty’s begins this weekend.
