Nicholas Allen Johnston, 36, of DuBois, Pennsylvania, is facing 299 felony charges related to alleged child pornography offenses following an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
According to WTAJ News, investigators were alerted in May 2025 after Synchronoss Technologies reported files containing suspected child sexual abuse material being uploaded to its cloud system. Authorities say they received 68 reports involving more than 250 files between April and October 2025. Search warrants executed on Dec. 30 at two residences in Sandy Township, Pennsylvania allegedly uncovered numerous images and videos depicting nude children, some involving sex acts with adults. Police say Johnston, who was previously convicted on similar charges in 2015 and is required to register under Megan’s Law, admitted to viewing the material on multiple cell phones during 2025.
Court records show a preliminary arraignment has not yet been scheduled.
