While spring is getting close, a winter weather advisory will go into effect tonight.
The National Weather Service announced this morning that the advisory will start at 10:00 tonight and run until 10:00 tomorrow morning, and will affect all of Indiana, Jefferson and the upper elevations Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. A wintry mix of precipitation is expected tonight with total snow accumulation up to an inch and ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch. This could cause some slippery road conditions and impact the morning commute.
People are advised to drive carefully and to report any snow or ice accumulation to the National Weather Service office in Pittsburgh by calling 412-262-1988.
