Two Indiana natives were recognized with a proclamation at the Indiana County Commissioners meeting this morning.
Ed Parks, baritone opera star was honored for achieving national recognition, and bringing honor and distinction to Indiana County. Joyce Sharman, a community advocate for Indiana, was also recognized for devoting her time and energy to advancing and improving the well-being of others in the community.
Commissioner Sherene Hess talked about what people like Parks and Sharman mean to the county.
Commissioners also approved several grants for Child and Youth Services, funding multiple essential services for children in their care. This includes counseling and legal services.
